DAY 1 & 2 : MAUN
Today you will arrive in Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta and Moremi National Park. A transfer will be arranged to your accommodation and you will have the afternoon to relax. An evening sunset boat cruise is an option.
We recommend an early start the following morning so you can take a guided drive into Moremi National Park where you will be transported by a professional Botswana guide in a open sided game viewing vehicle. Other options would be a day trip by boat into the Okavango Delta.
A day mokoto excrsion into the Okavango Delta ot a scenic flight.
DAY 3 & 4 : MAKGADIGADI /NXAI PANS
Today you will receive your hire vehicle and drive the short distance on good roads to the Pans.
On the western edge of the pans there is good game viewing all year round, and the lodges offer a variety of guided game excursions, birdwatching etc.
DAY 4 : NATA SURROUNDS
Nata is a village in Central District of Botswana. It is located in the northern part of the district, and is served by Nata Airport. The population was 6,802 at the 2011 census. The village of Nata lies along the Nata River, which carries its rainy season flow to the Makgadikgadi Pans, a seasonal hypersaline lake.
DAY 5,6 & 7 : CHOBE NATIONAL PARK
Today you will drive north to the famous Chobe River and National Park. Chobe National Park, in northwest Botswana, has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. By size, it is the third largest park of the country, after the Central Kalahari Game Reserve and the Kgalgadi National Park, and is the most diverse. It is also the country's first national park. This afternoon you can enjoy a sunset cruise on the Chobe River. An early start the following morning takes you on an organised Game Drive into Chobe National Park. The afternoon is free and at leisure. Optional extra game drives and boat cruises are available.
DAY 8 & 9 : VICTORIA FALLS (ZAMBIA OR ZIMBABWE)
Finally after your extensive game viewing journey it is a short drive to Victoria Falls. You can camp on the banks of the Zambezi River. Guided tours to the Falls are available but it is also very simple to visit by yourselves and the maps provided at the entrance provide all the information you will require. We highly recommend taking a sunset cruise on the Lady Livingstone as a perfect way to end your trip. (due to the sometimes difficulty in the Botswana/Zambia border crossing, it is possible to organise a scheduled transfer)There are many optional activities available in the area ranging from bungee jumping, elephant rides, sunset steam train trips, white water rafting and helicopter trips.
